Project Ambitious Youth
Hey there!
My name's Evin. Sydney, 19 years old, with a C32 AMG Limited Sports Edition.
Unfortunately for me, the prev owner's timing belt snapped and he had to get a new engine. I do not know what engine it is, but it isn't supercharged as that's illegal for a non-fully licensed driver to own. (Backstory)
Now, for the matter at hand.
I am looking to turn my car into a beast.
Anything to make my car sound, look and feel better.
But I need the good people of MBWorld to help me start and finish this project.
I have to admit, reading through these forums I'm dumbfounded. The gear head talk seems to zoom past me.
So I need your help in aftermarket products to make the car look, sound and perform better. I'd love to answer any questions and I've also attached a picture of my car.
A few ideas of my own are:
-body kit
-engine swap once fully licensed
-exhaust
-air intake
-remove traditional badge off bonnet - replace grille with large badge version.
-tossing up between keeping trim or turning car black.
I need your help people!

Sorry but there are a couple of things wrong with the car in the picture.. The car is missing the AMG body kit that the c32 comes with, unless the previous owner switched headlights, c32's did not come with the clear headlights and the car does not look like it has the Brembo 4 pot calipers.. Not trying to bash on your car but there are many non AMG w203's badged as c32's..

Sorry but there are a couple of things wrong with the car in the picture.. What does the rego sticker say? (c320?) or even check the VIN?
And the above posts are correct. Its nowhere near AMG. The car does not even have an AMG body kit. Whereas the "Super Sport w203' does (Super sport was a run out w203 model in AU that had different brakes [not amg] and an AMG body kit). No such thing as a Super Sport limited AMG or whatever they told you.
So it looks like sorry mate, you got done. My advise is enjoy it (its a nice car) and research what car you would like next when off your 'P' plates or when time to sell.

If you want to mod: go the 'throttle reset' first: unleash to "factory settings" and chop out the resonator. Not much else you can do other than throw money at it.
There is a comprehensive post somewhere on this forum for the throttle reset.

So after a bit of research I found out that it's a C180.
However, I'm still hellbent on getting a C32 AMG.
I found a certain one and I have the finances for it.

Did you just go buy a car, thinking it was a C32 but really a C180? Usually when i pay 10K+ for anything I'd check the history of it or research a bit into the car/item I was buying. Had you known some info previously, maybe you wouldnt have bought this car.
On the other hand if you were just trying to trick everyone on here into thinking that its a C32..... this is the wrong forum to do it in lol

I paid 8K for it off a family friend.
I never researched it because I didn't really care.
I didn't purchase it for the C32.
I purchased it for the feel of being in a Benz.
But now that I've done a bit of research, I do like the look of a C32 better.

Drive it and get it checked by an merc indie. If it comes back clean : trade your current car and offer 12-15k additional. Its dealer sale they will give if you push. Hit the dealer at the end of the month when they are pushing for sales. Its tax time so the dealer maybe still trying to hit quota. Good luck.
