I've seen that veyron at the pav's, sweet car for sure. Typical owner too lol. I'd be interested in checking out cars and coffee some time, if anything it would be a nice change of pace from the pavs.

Sounds like a plan, I am. I moved to AZ from NY about 3 years ago and I am surprised at the lack of auto enthusiast out here.

There are a lot out here, maybe not compared to NY or cali but I still think we have a good scene. But long gone are the days of backroad street racing and huge 400 car meets like in the early 2000's. I think the economy forced a lot of people to get out of the scene and a lot of people grew up and are fine with a stock bmw or benz VS a fully modded car. Also a lot of people stay in their niche groups so there are big corvette meets, VW meets ect instead of one big gathering of all makes.

Haha, everyone knows where Amsterdam is famous for. But also the first stock exchange in the world, invented by the Dutch, and numerous other things, Van Gogh, Rembrandt etc....

I plan to make one of the Pavilion events when I get back. Will probably take the Jeepster if I can get the starter sorted.

How do you like your E28? The wife had an E28 M5 for ever. Much as I like the C55, there are things that I think that the E28 did better.

Unfortunately do not own a M5, its a oldtimer, so no roadtaxes in the Netherlands. The car has a lot of charachter and in very good shape, the way Im keeping it as well. Solid like a tank and no complicated electronics, it does have single point injection, boardcomputer, power steering!

My biggest problem with our E28 was the front suspension thrust bushings. They never seemed to last very long.

E28s are a bit thin on the ground over here in Dublin, though I do see the odd one. It seems like everybody drives 320Ds or 520Ds. I've yet to see a C32 or C55 AMG over the three years that I've spent here, vehicle taxes are based on emissions and fuel consumption which kills the larger engine market. Can't complain about the 45 mpg that my Ford Focus diesel gets though with fuel at ~$8 per gallon.

Unfortunately I might be looking into parting with my car, based on our change of plans for living in Europe the first couple of years. So for a really low but fair price, whoever is looking for a bargain and a car in Pristine condition could check it out..

(The condition of the car is really astonishing and hate to let it go...)
