fuel sending

hey guys so i have a 2002 c32...the other day my car stopped getting fuel i took it to the local shop and the only thing they could recommend was to buy the full 1200 fuel sending unit and pumps upon research i seen where to buy just the pumps so got them in installed them and my car started and ran just fine for 2 days then it stopped getting fuel again opened up the tank and seen that only one of the tanks were empty the other tank had gas still in it mb has no clue why with new pumps it would do this and again only recommends i buy the 1200 parts any reason why im having these problems still or what else i could get other then the outrageous part they want to put on my car?

Check to see if you have any fuel in the rail by removing the Schrader valve on the passenger side of the rail. Use a rag. If you had fuel in the rail then the car should at least start. So far from what you described it may be a CPS problem. What test was performed to come to a conclusion that the car stopped getting fuel?

the car starts and will run now with the new pumps but with no response when you hit the gas. the driver side tank was the one empty any reason why one side is got gas but other doesnt. check engine light came on and said misfire codes, fuel sensor codes. but upon checking fuel sensors they were still fine
