C63 W203 Black Edition build?

Has anyone thrown the running gear from the CLK63 Black into the W203 sedan chassis? This is a long term project I have brewing in my head but would like to know if you guys know of any of the issues/compatibility problems I may run into. Don't say $$$, I understand that part already and would plan accordingly. I am a big fan of the W203 looks vs. W204 and would rather upgrade what I have then get something newer that I don't really like as much.

Generally, I have have done this to my C55 in most regards but the engine. I have the KW adjustable coilovers that the CLK63 has, I have the 63 BS steering rack, rear strut brace (I have the front strut brace that I never installed), 4 piston rear calipers (kept the stock front brakes as being more than sufficient -- but use kyro treated OEM rotors), the 63 shift paddles and an ecu tune. My engine mod's (listed below) bring the AMG w113 55 engine close in hp to the OE 63 engine, but of course, it will never be the same. For what it is, I have not found another AMG that I like as much that I can afford. I have driven the C63, E63 and SL63 at the AMG challenge, and don't find them to be appreciably better than my tuned C55 (the SL63 doesn't work for the family). Right now my next AMG will likely be a CLS63 once prices drop sufficiently (I would, however, prefer a 2014 CLS63 AMG-4-Matic). If these don't work out I'll pick up a CPO 2011 E550 4-Matic, or 2012 CLS 550 4-Matic and drive slowly.

P.s. these mods are mostly bolt on projects. SR was a little more involved.

I've thought about this too - but only in a pie in the sky, theoretical/hypothetical manner. The 209 and 203 C55 are quite similar underneath the hood, you'd think. It should be possible to swap in the 63 motor. Ah...frankly I guess that's almost about as far as I got with my contemplation of the subject!

I would think that it would be easiest and least expensive to find a wrecked (non-Black Series) CLK63 and move everything over. I'm sure it would physically fit. I'm just thinking engine and trans at this point. You would need someone like Rcompart to help with the wiring and coding. If you are serious about it, I'd suggest contacting him. He had previously swapped a C32 engine into an 05 C240 4Matic.

When the time comes, I would do that. For now I am just dreaming and coming up to terms with the actual feasability of this.

As long as you can get the engine, trans, tcu, ecu, and the ignition with the key. I think it could be a straight swap. I wrecked clk63 would be ideal.

I've always wondered what it'd be like to shoehorn a CLK63 engine into the C55 frame....

And none of us knows anyone or a company who has made a 4-door C/CLK63 based on the W203 and not W204?
