Very interesting to see your tread. I very suprise, 285 ok but 20'' tire are very tall. Good work!

This summer I will try 285-30r18 on 18x9.5 tsw nurburgring wheels with ET40.
In 18'' and 5x112, it is very hard to find 18x10 or 18x10.5 at resonable price

The front tires will be 255-35r18 on 18x8.5. I already have a quare setup in 255-40r17 without rubbing (just a bit the inner liner) I think 20'' in the front are very tall = more rubbing to the liner

I dont rolling my front fender, but I have a lot of camber with camber bolt and washer mod. My front tires are very close to the strut (1mm).

Thank for your offset.

Your car look very good with these wheels!

Difference in rolldiam is only 1.8% from std 18" wheels.
So theres no problem actually.
Only problem i had was that right frontwheel rubbed against the plastic innerfender to the front.
but that has been sorted, it was a hose from watertank(windsheildspray) that was misaligned and pushed the plastic innerfender towards the wheel.
I think the hose has come loose due to it has shrunk a bit through the years.
Just replaced it and the fender went back as it should again.

AND!! bear in mind, i have lowered the car about one inch too

Rgds

Looks nice w/ the Gunmetal BBSs, but 20" might be a bit much for me. I'm still not sold anything more than the stock 18" looks right and I know the ride can only get worse with Plus 1 and 2 sizing.

Actually, the ride in my car,, slightly harder but not to pay much attention to if you ask me.
I wanted more traction at rear therefore i chose 285´s
As we speak i´m modifying the rear to get adjustable camber.
I already had adjustable toe at rear so with a little bit of welding i got camberadjustable to

can upload picture later.(at work now)

what i said was not meant to be a hit against you (not sure why you took it that way to be honest) but considering I have my own C55 and a C230 before that (those are the same bodies btw), the lighting in that front shot combined with the slightly distorted reflection made it looked rolled. And considering you said you had the fenders rolled but never said only the rear there is no way I should have thought anything different. But thanks! I am a pretty decent fan of MB.

I'm especially impressed that you are running a similar tire size (in the front) as i am on my 19" with the 1" lowering and it looks to be almost the same gap as I have. Thats impressive. Do you have aftermarket coilovers to compensate?

Your car look very good with these wheels!

Is this the "longer bolt and washers" mod or do you have a particular aftermarket camber bolt?

I used this bolt : you need 3 bolt if you want equal caster (2 for camber and 1 for caster)

http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numbe..._D18BD03A.aspx

Washer mod are in red circle, also I played with the play on upper bolt in blue circle!

Your good for -2.5 -2.8 , I reduce a bit the camber to pass the tire with my offset (ET30). But this winter I will put a 5mm spacer for more camber.

I have a couple of pics with my square setup:
Tire 255/40r17 and wheels 17x8.5 ET30

Probably I will go with kmac bushing or this bushing : http://www.superflex.co.uk/products.php?cat=249

The objectif are not more camber, but I want more stability in high speed braking. Also I work on 4 piston rear caliper conversion for more stability in high speed braking and help in trail braking. I keep the front brake stock.

If you want to see my car in action:
The fun begin at 5min 30sec with Porsche C4S 09, the Porsche are 300lbs lighter than my C55 and we are 2 in my car. My engine is stock.

Other pics of strut and tire in this tread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...-scraping.html

what sucks he must is that for some reason my car decides it wants to rub like hell on the inner wheel well from the rear driver side wheel. It NEVER rubs on any other corner no matter how many I have in the car but it rubs just on that back left! makes no sense to me. Had it checked out by a shop to see if anything looked off or misaligned and they said nope. I'll probably just remove the liner like you said you did but I would love to know why it rubs here. It didn't rub on my C230 when I had the same rims and tires and again doesn't rub on any other corner no matter where people are sitting or if its just me in the car. Luckily it rarely does it when its just me unless i take a hard as bump that i wasn't expecting.

If i understand you correctly, your rear wheel is rubbing at the rear?
In that case, check the bumper and fender, there´s a bracket for the bumper inside the wheelarch.
sometimes the 'nut' is misaligned and can poke out towards the tire.
I have modified mine, did that when i rolled the rear fenders.
I can corner hard and i also can load the car so it´s almost on bumpstops, no rubbing at all.
I had at front as i wrote, but it was the waterhose for highpressurewash on the headlamps.
