These are genuine Mercedes-Benz replacement door handles. They are not an aftermarket part, but a Mercedes-Benz genuine product.
Our company did not engineer these in any way, they are just an OE replacement part.

1999 E320 4matic Wagon, 2005 C55 AMG - sold, 1998 VW Jetta TDI - sold, 2006 C230 Sport - Totaled :(
I find it interesting that I've never had this issue with the door handles breaking...I had my 2006 C230 for over 2 years and 70k miles and it was fine. My C55 I've had since July 2012 and a little over 30k miles and still no issues 
Edit: mileage are for time I owned, final mileage of C230 120k and C55 currently at 97k
