C55 Ignition Coil Longevity
Hi guys - coming from a high boost setup (93 S4) I'm used to coils going rather quickly and causing misfires.
I imagine on our N/A motors the voltage demand is much less but curious what the expected longevity is of our stock ignition coils. I'm at 120k miles right now. It got plugs around 100k. I just swapped out the original ignition wires because I can't imagine they have much life left in them.
So has anyone had to change ignition coils or do they hang in there for quite a while?
Because I have a 25 mile commute to work, I get into the habbit of going a bit extreme with preventative maintenance so as to not be caught with my pants down...so to speak.
Thanks!
