Okay guys in an effort to put faces to screen names and meet people outside of the forums pages lets make this happen.

There is already some interest in this so posting it in here to get the invite out to everybody.


I figure there aren't that many of us so I don't think we will need to reserve any tables but please post in here if you intend on showing up so I can get a head count. The more the merrier and I can always reserve a table if we get more people. Let me know...

I'm definitely down to do a meet and greet. Used to do that in my old Honda forums and became really great friends with a lot of the members.

Unfortunately right now my plans for Saturday are Ocean City for the day, so I will let you know if things change.

Glad to hear you guys ended up meeting up. Let's plan something for August or early September because I definitely want to meet a few more of you and be more active on here. Unfortunately my C55 had been in the shop from mid June until yesterday because of a rear end collision. So I'm up for whatever and C230 Mulac if you want to roll to the Springfield meet this coming week. Go ahead and PM me and we'll figure out a time and place to meet up, And obviously open to anyone else who's interested

 

Had a pretty good turnout last month (given the rarity of these cars) lets see if we can get a few more out!

 

I should be game this time around. Me and Mulac met up Sunday for a quick cruise before I headed up to MD for a shop's meet.

To consolidate everything in the area just so everyone knows, there are some other meets in the area on other days that maybe some of you others could make. I joined a website called "Northern VA Sports Car Club" and it has a bunch of meet ups on it.

Monday nights 7pm - Hard Times Cafe in Springfield, VA - haven't been yet
Tuesday nights 7pm - Velocity 5 in Centreville, VA - haven't been yet
Friday afternoons/evenings 5pm - Dulles Town Center in Sterling, VA - I went to this last Friday and didn't show up until 6:30 or so and people were still rolling in so I'm guessing this goes pretty late
Friday nights 9pm - Flagship Fridays in Gaithersburg, MD - Usually at the Flagship car wash in Gaithersburg, but sometimes the organizer will do it at the Urbana park and ride lot off I-270, I follow his Facebook page and it'll be updated either Thursday/Friday with exactly where it is each weekend
Saturday mornings 7am - Katie's Coffee in Great Falls, VA - this is the most expensive meet-up, and by that I mean the cars that show up (free to go there), I've never seen so much $$ in cars in one place in my life, it's super early but every once in a while definitely worth it to check the cars out
Sunday mornings 8:30am - Kohl's in Fair Lakes, Fairfax, VA - I like this one a lot b/c it's literally right down the street from where I live, pretty solid turn-out this past weekend, group of 5 orange Murcielagos showed up as well as the Lotus club of Northern VA
Sunday mornings 8:30am - Wegman's in Leesburg, VA - haven't checked this one out yet, but probably will soon since it's a good halfway point between me and one of my friends in Frederick, MD

I'm sure I will find out about more meets at some point. Looking forward to meeting up Saturday night!

The hard times meets got changed to the rolling road commuter lot. They kicked folks out because of the trash and people driving out of there like idiots. Regardless, my phone's on the fritz but I'd be up for that Centreville meet tonight. If anyone else wants to join feel free, or just PM #s.

 

Aww man that's some BS! Where is rolling road commuter lot? I guess I'll figure it out when I go to that meet.

Anyway, I was actually thinking of heading down to check out that Centreville meet tonight just to see how it is. How long I stay depends on how good it is.

Oh, and charge that phone man!! Hahaha, I'll see you if you make it. Gonna get ready and head out there around 7 or so.

So to report on the Tuesday night meet, I checked it out last night. Wasn't too bad, one of the more low key ones. Met a guy with a nice looking SLK 230 that I talked to for a while.

Apparently the Nu Conceptz people that host the meet didn't even show up last night so maybe that's why it was kind of quiet. But he was telling me that particular meet is more of a social thing where everyone gets some food and drinks inside and will hang out in the lot a bit too, but not so much just an outdoor car meet.

It was still a nice meet and I'll definitely go again. It was good to see that it wasn't full of immature people doing stupid stuff and getting cops called.

 

Bumping to the top, even with some reported showers, it's still going down.
