Brake pads

What's the thickness of MB pads? The dealership measured my pads and it was 8/12mm fronts & 10/12mm rears. Does this sound right? When do I need to change before it starts squeeling?

MB pads are not suppose to squeak because they are made of an ultra soft compound... and instead of the usual squeak when your breaks run out (due to a cheap piece of metal hitting ur rotors, which is installed on purpose), the brake sensor will illuminate telling you its time to change your pads... this sensor will be triggered when you have about 2mm of pad left...

you could lose your rear brakes that fast if you drove with your parking brakes on...

2,000 miles is absolutely not normal... 20,000 is more normal
