SLK 55 wheels?
I have been searching around for the last two days and decided to just ask.
I found out that my drivers rear wheel is cracked. All of the wheels that came on the car are curbed very badly. The cracked one is somehow even rashed on the inside lip. I have decided to just replace all of them because of this. I found a clean set of SLK 55 wheels for $750 close enough to me to pick them up. If I am correct the stock offset and wheel size on the 06 C55 is 7.5 x 18 with an offset of 30 rear is 8.5 x 18 offset of 34. The SLK wheels are the same width and diameter as the C55 but the offset is 37 front and 30 rear. Now for the questions.
1. I can push the front offset out with a spacer but, is this recommended?
2. Will a 30 offset push the back wheels out so far they rub?
3. Has anyone still on this site installed these wheels?
4. Anyone have some other cool rims the want to sell me?

1. Most w203s use a front offset around the mid 30s. If you dont intend on adding coilovers, you should be fine by just using the ET 37. If you want to add coilovers, you'll need a least 10mm front space. I'd recommend a 12mm front spacer to land you at ET 25 providing you w/ the most options for tires + coilovers and I think that ET 25 looks great too ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
2 - ET 30 in the rear should be fine if you're using under 255 rear tires width. If you're at 265, you may rub a bit and may need fender rolling.

4. Check the classifieds - lots of great wheel deals in there!

I use R18 AMG CLK wheels as my winter wheels with these ETs (37 front and 30 rear) on C55. No rubbing in the rear, clears front calipers perfectly. Visually I can't see the difference between them and original C55 wheels.

Thanks for the help folks. I plan to keep my same tires as they are fine. 225 40 up front and 245 35 in the back so it sounds like I should be good. I think I will add a 5mm spacer in the front. Are the $60 HR on ebay any good?

I have been running SLK55 wheels on our C32 for about 7 years now.
They fit perfectly I have 225/40/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear.
