Question Is there any tricks to ease the removal of the thermostat?

I like doing my own work when I can. Looking at the front appears a pulley is in the way (must be removed) and the screw closest to what looks like the oil filter housing, might be a challenge to remove. Any tips? Yes, I snooped around but did not see much for the C32, only the other C class. Thanks all.

Your correct the pulley needs to be removed. Remove the belt and the pulley, and use an 8mm 1/4 deep socket w/ an extension and you can reach the two bolts holding the thermostat on... kind of a pain to do the first time but its pretty straight forward.
I normally use loctite on the pulley bolt when re-installing, but thats just me.

Good point on the loctite and thanks for the post.
