C32 SHUTS OFF WHEN FLOORED
What's up guys my 02 32 recently started shutting off when I floor the pedal. The car will drive smoothly but as soon as I go to floor it it cuts right off. Starts back up fine and runs but the same problem keeps occurring. Recently changed the cps I'm not sure what this is about. Any advice ?

Get the car read with SDS. Have you noticed that it happens only on the Kickdown switch? my money is on the MAF or the Pedal Assembly maybe???

Yea when i hit the kickdown switch is cuts off. What's the best way of cleaning the maf?

if ur sayin it happens only on the kickdown switch then the pedal is prob the culprit, but
SDS will tell you exactly whether its MAF or Pedal. Now i have my money on the pedal....

When I push the pedal to the floor. I'm not sure if it's the kick down switch

Lol u need to test properly bru.... happ only on kickdown or also on Before kickdown...

C32 SHUTS OFF WHEN FLOORED
On the kickdown on wot it cuts off, cel comes on. Start the car again drive it for a few minutes cel goes away. Then on kick down again same thing happens again. Car gives a hard time starting I have to hold the key.

I could be wrong but now that you mentioned you have a hard startup as well, i would think this might have something to do with fueling.

As i mentioned before i would first hook up to atleast a scanner of some sort to get the codes for the CEL.

But if you cant get hold of one then maybe start with the small things first like the fuel filter which most guys ignore on service intervals... and since hard start and WOT require fuel id say Fuel filter first using the KISS formula...

Just an Fyi. C32 doesn't have a MAF. I would also check the fueling situation.

Eish, thanks for the correction Lenin, we have MAP sensors. i think i had my diesel on my mind when i wrote MAF.

Most likely an open in the pedal assembly. When the car senses the open at WOT, it shuts it down until restart. I would have a reliable shop pull codes and see if there are any accelerator pedal faults. I have had this happen in two different MB cars.

exact same thing happened to me , changed the pedal and works perfect.

What do you mean an open in the pedal? How can I check this ?

Temporary solution - don't floor it LOL

Dunno bout yours but flooring it in mine is only gonna lead to jailtime hehe

what brand cps sensor did you replace it with, it is not uncommon to get a bad one, id replace it with a bosch sensor.
