Front bumper cover bolts? Can anyone tell me what the specs are?

Boy is this embarrassing.

I finally found a front bumper cover after 2 years of searching. I get ready to put it back on and discover I "lost" the two bolts that mount it to front of the car.

I have the "clamps/clips" that pull the sides in, but lost the two damn bolts!!!

Does anyone happen to know the approximate bolt size and thread pitch? I am hoping I could just pick a few up at the local hardware store if they are not some crazy lag bolt....I just cant remember what they looked like.

Thanks

they are more like a screw type bolt where the thread looks like that of a coarse thread or dry wall screw but say 2 to 3mm thick with a size ten head. If I don't by this afternoon obtain the specs for you, someone else will.

Thanks again for the reply Kahn 55 - I got lazy and just called the Dealer$hip. Not too bad, I got the two bolts, washers, and 2 more bottom screws that I had forgot about for $14 and some change

bad weather this side so was unable to help you. Forgive me and glad you obtained them. Sometimes those special bolts are better to obtain from the agents yet they can be mighty expensive for a mere bolt. Only difference is they are torque splined heads and not allen key or 6 corner ones.

Did you perhaps take any photos? I am keen on seeing how the fogs mount to the bumper. It cant just be a plastic protrusion that clips into a slot and then held by those metal plate type of screw clamps with two bolts on either side. It doesn't look stiff enough. I almost lost one of me fogs on vacation. Dealership fitted it as they were sourcing one prior to purchase of the vehicle. I remedied this with longer allen key style bolts with flat washer and a lock nut. Now its all solid and tight and wont be bouncing awfully lot or coming loose.

Hi Khan 55

No pictures...(12:42am here) - but here is a video that shows the two bolts. I have linked the video to start at the correct time so you don't have to watch the whole thing (3:17 if the hotlink does not work for you)
