No matter how you install the system, if your gonna run lots of power, it will rattle. My suggestion dynmatt the doors. In my old car, I had diamond audo Hex all throughout my car and subs. I dynomatted my doors and the trunk. This helps alot and sounds alot better. I actually conceals the sound into the car....Originally posted by ro0zy

i ordered focal 165v2 for front and 165cv for the rear will that fit??? both 6.5" ......just asking since 2 car stereo shops said 6.5 and vader has 5.25 in the front..
MBWorld Fanatic!
6.5 will not fit front, Also disconect your abiance mic, or your stuff will drop out..Tell your installer its in the rear view mirror..

Well, it depends on your definition of "custom work". I can keep my factory grille, my door panel looks factory. Would you consider work done underneath the grille as "custom"???Originally posted by ro0zy

they just said the guts of it are huge and it won'tfit stock ..but anyhow the polyglass focals are already on the way and im sure they will blow away the stock sound system

im sure you will like the polyglass...i have utopias (not in the C32) running off a brax 2400 and a 12W6v2 off a zapco c2k-3.0 . It sounds awesome...i just got to find some free time to install it into the AMG as it's going to take all weekend.

no the jl 300/4 75x4 is just for the door speakers and a separate amp for the sub

Mabey 6.5 do fit, but JL is my sponser and they sent me all my stuff with the correct sizes, They also paid for my install at an authorised dealer.Originally posted by ro0zy

The Bose system in these cars sucks for aftermarket.
You gotta get rid of everything and the whole ambiance deal as well. If you have a good installer they will know, If they don't know you need to educate. Search the forums for direction
yeah they know about it, they do all the Houston Rockets players cars etc..how about the speakers in the rear deck those should be removed right?

Take out the rear speakers (so that the bass from your sub can travel through those slots into yr cabin), dynomat the rear deck, you will have rattling from the rear deck and from the cover of the first aid kit storage box. Ask them to do stuff it/glue it (just do something about it).
