No matter how you install the system, if your gonna run lots of power, it will rattle. My suggestion dynmatt the doors. In my old car, I had diamond audo Hex all throughout my car and subs. I dynomatted my doors and the trunk. This helps alot and sounds alot better. I actually conceals the sound into the car....

Well, it depends on your definition of "custom work". I can keep my factory grille, my door panel looks factory. Would you consider work done underneath the grille as "custom"???

Mabey 6.5 do fit, but JL is my sponser and they sent me all my stuff with the correct sizes, They also paid for my install at an authorised dealer.
The Bose system in these cars sucks for aftermarket.
You gotta get rid of everything and the whole ambiance deal as well. If you have a good installer they will know, If they don't know you need to educate. Search the forums for direction

Take out the rear speakers (so that the bass from your sub can travel through those slots into yr cabin), dynomat the rear deck, you will have rattling from the rear deck and from the cover of the first aid kit storage box. Ask them to do stuff it/glue it (just do something about it).
