I agree.. I bet the c32 starts appreciating in that time frame as lower mile cars will become even more rare.Originally Posted by hkycoldrct
These are correct numbers for US units. Another reason to scratch our heads and wonder why the values suck so bad. Over three years and a mere 2600 units are out there -- pretty limited. Give this car about 5 - 10 years IMO and people will realize what it is and represents.

Very interesting. Did 03's have the clear headlight lenses?

Thanks for the numbers. You don't hear a lot of production data on these cars, unlike equivelant BMWs. I'm a little surprised at the number of '02s. I'd previously heard 975 for the U.S. and 159 for Canada. Magazines at the time the C32 was introduced said MB expected to sell about 1,000 per year in the U.S. -- so that was either incorrect or MB blew by expectations during the 1st model year.
Plus, while the '02 is probably the most common C32 year, the idea that there are twice as many of them as '03s seems a little dubious given the number of '03s on the market. And while '04s are rare, I still saw many of them for sale when I was looking. There are presently 20 '04s on Autotrader.com right now, which is a full 10% of the stock! Though I suppose a lot of '04s would have come off their leases this year, so I guess it's possible. Interesting regardless. Thanks!

About 2100 total C32s made for US from 2002-04 and 787 for 2003 (my year model).Originally Posted by rrf
Thats right S4, and I believe I recall reading that US use was 40% of total 8100, so .... estimate would be 3240 total US C32s (all years).
And like the 15 year old thread resurrection, most of them are gone to the crusher. Maybe 1000 left or so?
