C55 crank problem

I had a problem with my crankshaft sensor a month ago and I replaced it. As I replaced it I lost the screw and never found it again so I left it like that. Now my car doesn't randomly die on me but whenever the car gets hot and I restart my engine I have to hold the key until the car turns on, it hesitates a lot depending on how hot the car get but on cold starts it starts up right away. A Mercedes technician that fixes cars at the dealership I work at brought me the screw and I took my car to my mechanic for him to put the screw in but it's still doing the same thing. I haven't had time to take it to him cause I've been busy at work. Can you guys think of anything that can be causing this? Maybe I should get a new sensor?

Your starter is prolly going bad. I just replaced mine shortly after replacing my CPS. They both had the same symptoms until one day my car didn't start at all.

@Bigpapi - buy a screw. In fact, buy two. That way you can lose it one more time.
