18lb. wheels that fit C32 for $155.00
I am very happy to say that the 17" x 8" Fliks fit all four corners with no problems. Actually seem to have more clearance of the big front calipers with the Fliks than with the stock wheels. Only issue is hub diameter, so the Fliks come with a small ring adapter.
These wheels are apparently very popular with the VW and Audi crowd, and the 17" ones are out of stock until mid-to-late April (I only got two, with stock rear-size T-1s tires. My fronts are on backorder, but I tested the rears on the front to make sure that they would fit).
The 17 inchers are $155, and weigh 18 lbs. The 18 inchers are cheaper $150
but weigh 22 lbs. I weighed my stock front wheels with almost new, stock size Rossos, and they weighed in at 50 lbs. The 17" Fliks with stock rear size Toyos weigh 42.5 lbs. The 17" Fliks with stock-size front tires (Toyos or Rossos) should weigh in at 40-41 lbs. In other words, the Fliks drop 9-10 lbs per wheel, which is alot of unsprung weight. The lex wheel only comes in "anthracite" which is a dark grey. They look good with a black C32. I know that they are not HREs or Brabus, but they seem like a good option for us cheap beastards who want to shed some pounds.

Silva: I don't have Brembos, so I don't know for sure. Alex did tell me, when I was cross-examining him on his claim that they would clear the C32 front calipers "no problem," that lots of people have put the 17 x 8 Lex wheel on cars with big brake kits, so I would say that the chances are very good with the 17 x 8 Lex and even better with the 18 x 8 Lex. My personal observation is that the17 x 8 Lex clears the stock front calipers by a mile.
FYI, Edge has another wheel that fits on the C32---the "Artic" (I don't know if the product namers at Edge are illiterate, or if they meant to call it this). The Artic is a 'busier' style of mesh design with a really, really nice, wide polished lip. It is a 18 x 8.5 wheel which weighs 23? lbs and comes in silver, black, and anthracite (all with the aforementioned polished lip). The wider size opens up alot of options for wider tires.
"IrvineC32" had the 18 x 8.5 Artics and they looked awesome on his car. Search "Flik" in all forums and you can see the pictures. I contacted him regarding fitment, and he said that they also fit perfectly without mods. He even said that the MBZ center cap would fit on the Artics on some C32s, but that other C32s have "longer hubs" that stick out too far for the center cap to pop on. He said he sold them because he "likes to change rims like his underwear" (actually, probably more often) and they were a pain in the **** to keep clean (he had the silver color). I actually originally ordered the 18 x 8.5 Artics in anthracite (easier to keep looking nice), but changed my mind based on the Lex's lighter weight and simpler design. I had Alex down to $160.00 apiece on the 18x 8.5 Artics.
One more note, my wheels actually arrived before Edge promised, perfectly packed, tires mounted and balanced (free). They have awesome prices on the Toyos (which I decided to go with based on the many positive comments on this forum, and the fact that they are the top rated tire on on many general automotive review forums. . .search "Toyo Proxes review" with your search engine). No tax for California residents. Reasonable shipping rates.

too far (I didn't know such a thing was possible
). Lugs need to be about 1/4" shorter. Edge includes them for free with your wheels. Roozy-I emailed you some photos. Color of the wheel exactly matches the fake "carbon fibre" stuff on the C32 exterior door frames. I know that lots of you don't like dark wheels, but they sure are alot less cleaning maintenance!

We here on the C32 forum believe in the power of the "mentally challenged."
jon l.
only problem is that they look like they belong on a honda - no offence but stock wheels have much better styling IMO
save $$, eat really meager for a month.... you'll lose the weight you've saving on the rims, and then u can buy heavy 19" that actually look good with the saved money.
if i saved the money from eating out and clubbing, i'd have 911 right now, i'm sure the same as lots of ppl on this board!! but then, what fun would that be???
Sorry Jon, if you can read this, I was just being my usual pukey self. I just checked it again. . . click on the "search" button above. Other than typing Flik in the search terms field, don't otherwise limit your search. Start the search. It is about the sixth hit down ("Irvine C32" in the "Classifieds" forum). Or, you can search by member posts "IrvineC32"
