I can't go, catching a red eye to NYC . MTV is filming our crew all weekend.
Also Their is a Dateline NBC story about Teckademics tommorow night, the producer just called and said we are slotted in the 2 hour special.
On Sat I will be on damage control all day..lol

my car will downshift to 1st even on the W mode if I fully depress the pedal. At the car wash, talking to a ****y guy with an older S600, he didn't seem impressed by my C32. Left after him and pulled up next to him at a light. He gunned it from the light, and I was just normally accelerating. When I realised he was racing, I floored it and it downshifted at about 5 mph. What the .....? Realised the car wash had hit the button to shift to W and have since figured out that it will down shift to first if you push it past the kick point. BTW I passed the '98 S600 at around 50 mph even with the jump and I know he kept on it, cause I could see his face at around 60.

Dink v. Vomit
Dink has 19" HREs, a killer sound system, a moonroof, and no engine or weight-reduction mods.
Vomit has 18 lb. wheels, the factory 'premium sound', no moonroof, Optima battery, Evosport Pulley, ECU, and SL55 intake splitter, Denso Iridium plugs, Magnecor wires, K&N filters.
In other words, Dinks car weighs probably 150 lbs. more, and has 50 hp less (but damn does it look nice and put out some rockin' tunes!)
Two different approaches to the C32. Dink wins "cruisability" hands down. Vomit wins at the track (for now, Dink is about to mod his engine!)

No moonroof
It is still sort of a mystery to me but, apparently, a handful of the very early production C32s (mine was built 05/01) were built without the moonroof.

Looks like a solo Vomit run at Carlsbad tomorrow. Dink's got finals, Vader's in NYC, Nima is M.I.A..
Now that I don't have any witnesses, I think I'll buy a timeslip from that guy with the 600 HP Vega showing an 11.87 @ 124.3 and post it just to mess with you.
Seriously, shooting for a high 12 tomorrow. Maybe unrealistic, but what the hell!

If you were going to Carlsbad on Sunday I would meet you there. I cant break free this Saturday.
My only other issue would be if those bone heads there would let me run with one arm in a cast. Don't they know I could run 12's all day long with a coffee in one hand and doughnut in the other(steer with the knee)

House guests on Sunday. Also, this Sunday is "free admission for racers"day, which means that every 17-year-old with a hood scoop within a 100 mile radius is going to be there. I'm hoping that, as a result, tomorrow there will be very few people.

Wouldn't you know it, four rainy days a year in San Diego and one of them has to be my race day. . . Man, it's ugly out there today. Rain is good for business, however (lots of accidents).
