Due to an evasive manouver it hit the sidewalk with almost 100 km/h yesterday (it was either that or being crushed by a truck).
The bad > immediatelly I felt the steering weel pulling to the left and could hear the noise of a damaged weel so I stopped the car and had it towed to the MB dealer (it was a very dangerous place to change the tire).
The good > eventhough the impact was at quite high speed only the tire got destroyed, the alloy was untouched !
As a safety the MB boys are gonna check the allignment and other stuff just to see if all is OK.

as for the wheels, at least now I know why they are dense/heavy

it might look okay but its best to check them out. insurance paying for everything?
