C32: OEM Spoiler not available in the US, AZEV Rims (Pics)
, so I flew for a "quick" visit just after I got my car (late 2002), got the spoiler, brought it back to the US and had it installed by the Mercedes Benz Dealer. Though you can't see the detail in the picture, the spoiler bolts fit right where the trunk lid rubber stoppers are, therefore, after the spoiler was installed, if you open the trunk, you can't tell where the bolts are! (as they are hidden by the rubber trunk lid stops... hmmm... yeah, I am sure you are now thinking, there is a good reason why German technology CAN NOT be super passed... though some others try...

In addition to every single option available for the US market (I had the car phone removed after the car arived), the car also has the illuminated Mercedes Benz door sills in blue letters (the choices are between green or blue), the flat emblem on the front hood, and the AZEV German made rims which can only fit a C32 (rims are custom drilled and cut to have the exact offset for the car the rims are built). If you were close enough to the car you would see the spokes run no more than a couple of Millimeters off the brake calipers of the car.
I've had this car (2003 C32) sitting in my garage since Nov 2002 and it was the first 2003 C32 AMG imported to the US. Just recently I started to use the car, so it finally has a couple of thousands of miles on it.

You should be correct!
... and hopefully you are correct
. When I purchased my C32, by the time it was delivered to me in California in Nov. 2002, I wanted on my 2003 C32 to have the M. Benz spoiler that is available by Mercedes Benz (as you mentioned that spoiler is not "especific to C32s only as C32 uses body structure from other M Benz models)... whelp??.. at that time (Nov 2002), the part wasn't simply available ANYWHERE in the US... I decided to fly back home to visit my family in Austria and while in there "visiting" in Austria I stopped by at the M Benz-AMG delaership and got the part.I don't think I explained that on the original posting... at the time I got the car delivered to me in the US, the parts dept AND the 800 number for M Bens in the US indicated to me, "they" (M Benz USA) did no thave the part anywhere until aprox April of 2003... now a days... I would certainly hope M Benz USA and any other dealerships have the spoiler in stock!!!.

Yeah....dealers are always the last one to know these things, especially the US dealers.

I like your car's color a lot!! Something different.
I know dealers sales reps always tell me that "Mercedes Benz silver!!" is one of their best selling colors... and though I have to agree with M Benz.. the original silver color is nice and sets the car up from the crowd... when you look at the Mercedes Benz crowd.. then they all are silver, black, white predominantly!!!... I would imagine, when a customer is already paying a premium price for a premium vehicle, sometimes they (customers) are not willing to stretch themselves an extra couple of thousands of dollars "just" to have a different color not offered in the Mercedes Benz "standard" exterior color option list...
Any input on that one????...
Cheers!
