18'' vs 19'' ride comfort?
I currently have 19s on my car with coilovers.
Would going down to 18s make the ride less harsh?
What tire size do you guys normally run on your 18s?

I have the stock 18's with 225/40/18 245/35/18. I will be going with 255's next time on the rears. My car rides great but I'm on stock shocks and springs.

235/40 and 255/30s. I had very slight rubbing on the plastic fender liners up front with 245/40s and also very slight rubbing on the outside of the driver's side rear with 265/30s along the fender lip. Metal on tires meant a downsize to the current 255s. I seem to be one of the few not able to run 265 rears though, so YMMV?

None. I like the extra width up front to help with understeer, but besides the 245/40s rubbing fender liners at full-lock, the steering was a bit slow and numb going up two sizes. 235s seem like the best bet, IMO.

Consider you are also dealing with more 'un-sprung weight' which is the enemy of a responsive suspension.
More weight in the wheel/tires/brakes means more weight to fling around on bumps, cornering, and acceleration/deceleration. Bigger wheels means not only does ride suffer, but so does handling.
Everything in moderation, otherwise you just look good, and get your *** whipped by an old smart guy with stock wheels.

have you touched the rebound adjustment try full soft e.g.: counter clockwise also the tires are inflated at 41psi 2.8bar VA-HA which is what AMG GmbH recommends for VMAX high speeds with normal load for the C55 with Performance Package. Try 37psi....If that doesn't work lmk I have H&R rear coilover springs which are almost 100lbs softer than KW......my opinion 19's ride any different than 17's or 18's also those Pirelli's have a stiff sidewall and are the same size and model that came with that package and on the SLK55 Black Series

Hey man.
Yea I did soften it all the way and it made a bit of a difference. I dont wanna raise it coz it looks damn good as is lol.
Ill try messing with the PSI. I only softened the front btw, didnt wanna rip out the trunk paneling.

the rear is simple...pull the one black push rivet on both sides closest towards the seatback and pull the trunk carpet just enough to reach the rebound knob....no need to remove it all less than a 5min job

I used to run 19's with my coilovers and I thought it just rode too hard. I switched to 18's and have been happy ever since. I do LOVe the way the 19's looked, but it was just too rough for me.
