C32 "Chirp" setting (aka Norway, Netherlands, setting)

Glad to hear you have your "chirp" set up.
Instead of me giving you "bad" information about the enablement of the alarm chirp and panic button code(s), better will be for your dealership to call mine and the information directly from them (Keyes European, Van Nuys, Ca.. you have all the info from the previous postings with phone, DNA, X-Rays, etc)
I even saw a posting in this forum of a experience of another member where the alarm had to be replaced and interestingly enough, when the dealership replaced the unit for a new one, the new one had the "chirping" enabled AND the panic button as well.
As I mentioned in previous postings on this issue before, I have not been able to go to the bay and see the codes from the Diagnostics Star system... lately I've been thinking on just ordering one of those pupies as they are like any other diagnostics tool you see for GMs and other US brands... well??? this is the same puppy but for Mercedes Benz... hmmm.. all those codes we can get our hands on... (VMAx = Electronic Speed limiter; not that I would touch it at all...
, etc)I personally prefer the panic button disabled, though my keys for my C32 (the panic button) all work and have gotten quite a couple of "situations" where I accidentally set the whole thing off at night in my own house!...

I see you point, I don't really need the panic button because if anything happens I will just Run Forest Run, Panic button doesn't do anything anyways.

It's cool, I like the chirping now I know it's arm. The lights alone is not enough.
Now I just need to get my Xenon fixed,then I will be good to go.

I got my set from a local custom shop in the LA area where I live
. Though I've read on other postings on the board there are places on the web where you can get Xenon/HID upgrades for the fog lights, I wanted to get my set to have it professionally installed (I am lazy ). I have my Xenon/HID fog lights installed by the same shop I bought the kit from.I have used the same shop to have them do the same upgrade on my wife's car (2002, BMW 330i), our family car (2004 Lincoln Navigator) and my other car Cadillac DeVille.
On the Beemer and the C32 I upgraded the Fog lights to Xenons, later I also upgraded the C32's DRL (Daytime Running Lights) to Xenons as well
, on the Cadillac I upgraded both driving and highway lights to HID (Xenon is a registered mark, brands that do not use the same bulb are commonly known as HID = High Intensity Discharge). On the Navigator which came originally with Driving HIDs lights but not the high beams nor the fog lights, I upgraded the high beams and the fog lights to HIDs...The light color beam is the bright blue... I am very pleased with the results.

Mr. Wiedermann, What about cost? How much did you pay for the upgraded foglights and running lamps? If you don't mind me asking. Where in LA? My brother lives in LA I might have to pay him a visit. DRL is that the Xenon light? When I have my DRL on my xenon lights are on..

I made one payment for the whole upgrade to all cars, each car was about $1900.00 bucks aprox for the system upgrade & install on each car. There are cheaper shops that you can find, obviuslly you can just buy the hardware only which is less of course than the cost of the hardware & install. This shop does a very professional job on the car, though a "bit" expensive as some may think, as I mentioned before, I am very pleased with the results, there fore money well spent
. (I can smell Mr vader with his Brabus wheels having a comment or two by now.. The Doc!!!.. oh my... and all the others that will swallow me for the expense...haha)Location of the Shop: City of Woodland Hills, San Fernando Valley.

About DRL: (DRLs are the inner light bulbs assembly, closer to the grill) I upgraded the Xenons on DRLs however, I have the DRL setting turned off, I don't like the lights on unless is night time (or the light sensors decide is dark enough
)..however, as you well known, the DRL light bulbs are used as "spare" light bulbs in case the main Xenon bulbs were to fail for whatever reason (that "was" one of the features of the new W203 C class.. the DRL light bulb is the alternate in case of failure on the main Xenon one)Wiedermann

Brabus is right next to our shop. So I get Brabus at cost.
When we put the wheels on at our shop the GMG guys (World Challange Team ) were clowing me beacuse my wheels were so heavy.
I don't really care what anyone says about them, To me the V1 is my favorite wheel.
The C32 is my daily driver.
I am building a light weight E36 track car.
It has some light weight wheels BBS
Point being. I roll in style
I race lightweight.
Track, not 1/2 mile with the ricers..
Brabus is right next to our shop. So I get Brabus at cost.
When we put the wheels on at our shop the GMG guys (World Challange Team ) were clowing me beacuse my wheels were so heavy.

the smiley is for RTMFM :p
anyways, the aux input is so that you connect an external source of music, i.e. MP3 players, mini disc players.. etc. it's accepts a simple 8mm male plug, you can buy this wires (with two male ends) from radio shack.. one end will go into the audio source, the other end in the aux input plug.. and voila.. you got music thru your speakers now.
