32 Shifting into 2nd early
Ok, It all started last time I took the car in for service. When I got it back it did not seem to acclerate as quickly as before. I figured it was due to changing weather, reflashed computer and not having driven the car for awhile. I have not really had a chance to get on it for more than a second or two until the last couple of days. Now here is my problem. Note this is for a 2003 32.
I noticed that when the acclerator is floored the SLK32 is shifting from 1st to 2nd at ~5700 rpm. This is repeatable problem. Once the car is in second it will hold the gear to redline. The other symptom is that there are times it does not shift into a lower gear when I get on it and there are plenty of revs left.
The easy answer is just to take it into the dealer. But I am looking for anyone that has had a similar experience or has any suggestions.
