So sad to see a C32 damaged. Hope they can save it. Not many of these left.

2006 C55
Hate to hear it. The important thing is that the car did its job and kept you from getting hurt.

I got my C55 when my daily driver was totaled in September.

As a long term veteran of a Mercedes body shop I dare say that one is done. The rear body panel and left quarter will be toast. The right quarter could likely be repaired. Trunk lid is outta here but could be sourced used from any 203 sedan. It looks like they overrode the rear bumper rebar. That can bend the ends of the rails down. When that rear body panel rolled in it likely broke up the plastic trunk tub.

Good luck.

Agree, I am a claims director at a large carrier....pretty sure its toast unless they find some cheap LKQ parts.... I just bought a new front suspension for the car and front Fender liner

hope you're OK first off...bummed to hear your beautiful c32 was in an accident. is it still driveable? You gonna part it out or fix? frustrating is that book value on these cars is low and thus the insurance will probably just total out the car since the damage is probably 4k USD or more which (to the carrier) is more than the book value. I sadly just spun out my perfect c32 that i've had for 13 years after hitting chicago highway black ice and the front end is banged up bad but motor still works. repair cost far exceeds book value so time to bury it unfortunately for me.

glad you walked away safe.

Most carriers will use comparable for sale in the area, currently there are 2 C32s for sale in Chicago one for 7750 and the other 7500; I will argue that a countrywide search of vehicles, even with high miles like mine, are 6500 or more on autotrader.com. We will see what they come up with for a value.....

I am also a collision repar professional. There is no possible way we could save that AMG in my market. Based on the photo. Repair cost would be well above the 70 to 80 percent of value threshold. I suspect substantial rear floor and rear rail damage in addtion to what has mentioned above. The right quarter gap to rt rear door looks to overlap in the photo. That would be a sign of significant inner structural damage.

yeah totally agree, prices should be higher 6-7K plus range due to the lack of supply on these C32 which book value doesnt (to me) fully account for.

9100 in damages, adjuster needs to confirm but sounds like value came in over 8K(with taxes, etc)
