Down south where the speed limit was 70, and averaging 80 wasn't a problem, I was getting 26mpg. As I got into the lower speed limits up north my average speed dropped down to 60-65 and my mpg dropped to 24.5... still a lot better than I was expecting. Mixed daily driving I'm getting 21.5... only half mpg less than my R32 and yet this thing makes 100 more horsepower, lol. I love it.
That seems to be the average number for long distance drives. Those are damn good numbers considering its a supercharged v6 with crappy mpg in the city. Lucky you with average 21 daily. I sit in traffic half the time and the other hald i'm stomping the pedal to get ahead of others. I just can't stop pressing the gas haha Since you mention the R32, I was going down the 605 and was getting tailed by a Golf R (2016 or 17) and I know that car is faster but damn he was giving me the thumbs up as we were zipping and weaving through traffic. How do you like your 32 compared to your vw? I ask because I've never been in a vw...

That's quite the haul. My guess you chose an interstate back which probably made it easier on the gas and mind.

I just got back from a 950 mile round trip Cincinnati to Milwaukee in my bone stock 2003 c32. Rolled the 150,000 mile mark about half way back with no issues and got (in my opinion) and outstanding 26 mpg. I kept it at a fairly reasonable 70-75mph minus a few spirited highway on ramp runs.

Just drove from Sacramento to Chicago for work. 2000 miles. I set cruise control at 80 and go there in about 29 hours. 26.1 mpg and no problems. Had to add one quart of oil though
