Nice, V12 Evo 2's are a solid tire for everyday use and some spirited driving. I think they're pretty quiet too, and I've been running them on one of my cars since the original V12 Evo years back.

19's are expensive in general, compared with 18" and 20" wheels. Just an odd size that not many cars run, so we pay for it, unfortunately.

I agree. IMO, the Evos are a better day to day tire than my Michelin SSs, but don't have quite the dry grip.

So I got my tires. brand new but theres a year stamped on it(not sure this is a year but it says 2012)

Should I be concerned??

What number format is the date in usually on the tire. This has
some sort of symbol than number 2012 right after it. This might not be the rear, can someone who has the same tire confirm before I go asking for a replacement.

those were brand new and if you never flipped them then your wasting your money, the car was just aligned when I gave it to you. Did you ever take care of the rear diff mounts?

Thanks for the heads up man Ill get on it asap. I did notice vibration on the highway but was gonna check the alignment sheet you left to see when that was done and was gonna do alignment after new rear tires.

I thought the guy checked both flex discs when he did my rear main but he might have only checked the rear.

Been so busy, im moving and the baby is getting bigger. Hard to find time to even do an oil change in the last few months lol.

I need to start flipping tires from now on, I would usually not do that.

How do you flip/rotate staggered, asymmetric directionals? (Which I hope everyone is running)

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 562 Nm :-)
Good question.
Mine always wear on the inside.
When I take off, the car "sits" and the rear wheels wear more on the inside.
At heavy corning, the car is forced to sit flat on the tyres.
I can´t flip mine.
If my rears is wearing to much on the inside, I´m not taking corners fast enough!

Pilot SSs can be run in either direction, they only have an inside and outside. No idea of their replacements?

You can flip your tires on any vehicle. Flipping your tires doesn't mean actually taking off the two fronts (or rears) and swapping sides. It means taking it to the tire shop and having them dismount the tires and putting them on the opposite side. I've done this every 10K Miles on my staggered setups for years, and instead of replacing tires every year, I replace them every two to three years. If you flip tires often enough, you'll have a good relationship with the tire shop and they'll probably hook you up if you're nice. I've used the same tire shop for 13 years and sometimes they tell me that it's on the house!

Yes but if your tires are asymmetric as most high performance tires are the inside and outside will be around the wrong way. Yes you can do it. But if you drive your car hard I would not recommend it. The materials, stiffness, and water shedding design is different from inside to outside. The area of maximum grip is also designed to be in a certain spot which you are moving the position of.

Yep, definitely. I personally don't run asymmetric tires because aggressive camber and toe settings will wear out asymmetric tires way too fast. At least with directional tires, I have the opportunity to flip them and double or triple the lifespan of the tire. You're pretty much out of luck if you're trying to get more life out of your asymmetric tires. Overinflating the tire would probably help with wear a bit, but isn't exactly a safe thing to do.

Since I've had mine, I've had Pirelli PZeros with stock wheels, Purely fronts/Accelera PHI R rears with my old wheels and now Lionhart LH Fives. Pirellis lasted 12ish K in the rear, Acceleras about 8K, and the Lionharts are too new to give lifespan feedback on. They did surprisingly well up in the canyons in the rain though.

I'm not brave enough to run cheap Chinese tires on my dirtbike, let alone my daily driver pushing almost 400hp. I get between 15-20k out of much more expensive Michelins but the longer life and tons better grip more than make up for it.

I'd say that's a typical response I get. My tire choices are definitely one of the things I get flak for the most. All I can say is I've put nearly 200K across 5 different cars using "Chinese" tires, never had any issues or complaints, and I've installed hundreds of sets going back 7 years now on everything from Civics to Bentleys. Nothing wrong with Michelins though.
