500 HP evosport C32..... (EuroTuner GP Day 1)

Well gang,

We are entered into the EuroTuner Dunlop Tires TunerGP 2004 with our monsterous C32. Not one to just be good enough, we cranked out some nice engineering from Vadim and Gary and landed with a 410 to 420 REAR WHEEL HP C32 (depending on Dyno).

This was verified with K&N's dyno today at the first day of the three day competition (dyno, drags, road course).

Here is the sheet from K&N:

On our dyno we say a peek of 421.

We will be giving updates throughout the week on the progress of the little Mercedes versus all the Porsche's/Audi's/VW's/BMW's.

Thanks

Brad

You guys leave the M3 out this time? (I'm assuming it's cause you didn't want to scare the competition away?):p

Great looking wheels. What model are they? I like them better than your other SSR's.

THANKS!

They are a brand new wheel from BBS - the "RA."

They are really nice in life, the pics don't do them justice. They are 18x8.5 and 18.95 and fit the 245/265's perfect.

I like them better too, looks like the SSR's may be for sale. Grill boy - get ready!

Thanks

Brad

Brad, are you selling this wheel? I assume it is a cast wheel since they have not been offering forged wheels for our cars. What are the offsets? 8.5 and 9.5 is the ideal performance fitment, although fender clearance and strut interferance has been problematic for many with anything larger than 235's, with S03's not working in this particular size. Do you still need to run a spacer (5mm) to clear the caliper? Never knew how you got the 245 to work without the fenders cutting the side wall of the tires or some trick awning style rolling/flairing of the front fenders. What tires do you run?

Very BMW 740ish in appearance. I really like them. Good proportions on the car with a meaty look. Better than the RGR look if you could fit them on the car.

Good luck at the event!

Yes, we are now selling them, they are cast adn 25lbs each. They fit the C32 perfectly (even fit Brembo's w/out spacers). We clear the coil-overs and have the car dropped a LOT now - no clearence issues (fitting ~245/265). We did have to massage the fenders a bit with the track wheels.

BBS DOES have the forged RE coming for our car too, we just could nto get them in time.

I tell you, BBS has stepped up for the Mercedes. They are making nice looking and light wheels that are brake friendly and fit wihout spacers finally!

I tell you, I was not sold in pics, but in life, the car looks perfect with these wheels. I thought I woudl miss the 19's, but not at all!

Thanks

Brad

arent these just the VZ's i think tirerack has sold them for a while, a cheap wheel around $300 a wheel for 18" a few years back.

Good looking wheel and looks ok on the Evo c32.

That's good news for all of us Brad. Now that you are back on 18's, is it a noticeably smoother ride than the 19's? I personally think that 18's are fine for performance with more tires available. It was only a few years ago that 17's were considered the ultimate!

No, they are the RA as mentioned. Similar, but the VZ is a different wheel.

The ride is not that much smoother with the 18's, but the tire fitment and availability is MUCH better. I remember back in the day when we got 18" AMG monoblocks on an S-class - that was the ultimate back then!

thanks

Wheels , what wheels? All I know is that I see a dyno showing over 410 hp and lb/ft torque at the rear wheel on a 3.2 liter supercharged MB V6!!! That is freaking awesome!!!
