I've kissed a kerb giving a wheel a superficial mark. Will the paint shop paint the whole wheel, or can they just do the bit around the one inch long scratch?

Last time I got a wheel painted, it didn't quite match the other wheels, and I don't want this to happen again. I'm hoping they can just treat the affected area. Have others repaired a wheel this way?

to do it right they paint the whole wheel... but it wont match the others.

 

There are some places now that can match the wheel colors.

I had to have one of my OEM wheels repaired and my dealer has someone that matches them perfect.
