I finally got some of my technician's time today. He has never replaced the supercharger nose bearing before. He looked at the bolt in the center of the pulley and hooked the MB diagnostic computer to the OBDII port. After a few seconds my fan came on and he used an impact ratchet to remove the bolt. I asked him "what was that all about?" He said "oh I just locked the clutch so it wouldn't spin as I removed the bolt. They have the best tools.

I didn't know about the OBD clutch lock trick but I did use my impact for the bolt a couple times.
