Play DVD's on stock navigation?

Play DVD's on stock navigation?
My friend has an 03' Lexus GS and at lextasy.com they have a kit to make the stock navigation able to play DVDs. I have a 02' C32 w/ Navigation and want the same. I'm assuming that the drive that reads the navi cd's is either a DVD Rom or DVD reading drive. Is there any way to make it play DVD's? I've done some research and have found no websites w/ either a harness or new drive but on E-bay there is someone who sells stock navigation systems with already installed "Ready To Play DVD Player" for the E Class. The resolution looks pretty good playing DVDs.

our MY01-04 Comand is CD-base Navi which doesn't play DVDs. You need to either add:
1) MB TV Tuner which give you 2 extra Video Input for DVD or other devices.
or 2) Video adapter which only accept PAL signal.
With these 2 options, you still need to get someone to disable some security-locks which turn on your TV feature(blank-button) on your Comand and disable safety that turn off your screen when go 5+mph.
Take your pick.
Do a search...is been discussed.

In additional...US bound 2005 C-class Comand will not play DVD. You need to swap to Euro-spec. 05 Comand to play DVD.
The security-lock still need to be disable in Star-Diag. which dealer will have no clue what you taking about.
