Get the two beasts ready! Should we call out the G35 and the S4?

I was debating as to whether I should bring the CRX, but decided to give the C32 a try on a tighter/lower speed track than the Big track of Willow's. Hope you guys can make it.

Zeppelin, bring both cars. All you need is a porter to get the other car there. I got CC to drive mine. I am sure we can find you another driver. You will like the Streets and the C32 will perform decently their. This course simulates real road conditions much more than the Big Track.

Let's bring the G35, S4 and find an EVO or Sube to rent!

Talking Whats this?

Are those instructions Steve? If so I best get to work quickly! After I finish doing the real obligations....

Two run groups again steve? Do I get to run with the bigger boys this time or do i have to say in the sand box and run lap times faster than the average driver in the advanced group? I could just pull over and build a sand castle in the in field since they all drive like ***** anyhow. I mean I spent 20 minutes in in the infield last time anyhow waiting for my pit crew.... why not go build a sand castle for the ants to play in?

Zepp... this should be fun but I would recommend installing new rotors as this track is very agressive on brakes and your car seemed to have fairly worn rotors/pads when I saw it. But I would most def bring the C32 and the CRX if possible. Steve is dumb enough to let me use his car so my services are already taken.

Lets keep in contact and get some more forum users and or MB drivers to come out.

CynCarvin32,

I will install new R4S pads this week front and rear and flush the fluid out with ATE. But if I need new rotors at 16K miles I will sell the POS. My CRX has the Original rotors with 160,000 miles and can probably be turned two more times before replacement. I don't expext to get this kind of wear out of the C32, but hopefully 40K.

WOW you are looking for 40k? YIKES!!

MY S55 NEVER (I mean maybe once or twice down a short twisty section for each set of rotors) saw canyon or track use and it lasted only 26k miles on each set or rotors. MB's rotors do not last that long. With track use the rotor life falls fast. 25k could be done but the worn rotor will fade more quickly than a new rotor. Steve and I thought that the Street was fairly hard on brakes and felt that a stock car would not have lasted more than one session before needing a very long cool down. I bet I could extract more miles from the rotors on my cars but once they get thin they cannot dissipate heat very well and at that point I just get new pads and rotors. MB rotors are known to be very soft too as they are not racing grade parts.

I remember when I changed the rotors on my car and it was a total transformation each time. The brakes went from terrible to extremely nice. But your new pads should help a lot as OEM was clearly lacking for track/canyon use. Hey! Prove me wrong! Bring the C32 out and show me that the brakes do last!

Oh, I actually looked at my calender and I will be in Indy for the F1 race that weekend so I will have to meet with you at another track day. I wanted to watch the two C32's fight it out!

I will keep my eyes posted for economical track days. Lets just say I am hooked on track events so there will be another chance very soon. I am really angry I can’t make it out to the track with you guys. This sort of deal does not happen often!

Eric

i have a solution

CynCarvin,

I don't think it is right for you to miss out on this wonderful track day.

I bet you and steve are great drivers and you will have a lot of fun chasing each other down on the track.

I would just hate to see you miss out on that opportunity so why don't I just go to Indy for you and that way you can have a great day at the track

Though I don't know you beyond this and the c32life board you sound like a great guy and I like to help good guys with F1 tickets

What do you say

Prasith

I thought the F1 at Indy race was in like September the 2nd to the last race of the year. Did they change it this year? Not that it matters since Shuemucker has it won.

So no one wants to go? I guess I'll have to fight off all the WRX's and EVO's on my own.

Steve,

It sounds like you are bringing the C32? That would be good, so I can compare how your brakes hold up if I fry mine

I guess I'll see you at the track on friday.

Zeppelin, did you get your new pads installed and bedded in yet? You will need them at the track. I would also recommend that since you are probably in need of some new rotors, you should buy them in advance and bring them to the track just in case you need to replace them in the pits. Print out the installation instructions just in case! Also change your brake fluid if you haven't recently. I am only bringing the C32 this time out and leaving the BMW behind since I could not find a driver for the second car. Still testing suspension set ups and tire pressures on the C32. If they allow passengers, you can ride with me a get a sense of what the upgrades have done to the car. If they will let us, we can switch cars and compare stock vs mod'd. It will be interesting to see just how fast your brakes might go away. This is only a prediction of mine, as other C32 owners have never had brake issues at the track. It really depends on how you use your brakes. Looking forward to taking the day off. See you there.
