IC Pump?
Hey Guys,
I recently acquired an ‘02 C32 w/ 65k miles. My prior car was a 210 E55, I have owned a few examples of this model in the past. The C32 is definitely more agile, but I feel like there is a noticeable lack of power when accelerating. I know the cars vary quite a bit in terms of torque. The car appears to be well cared for its entire life based off the service history. The 2nd owner replaced the oe Valeo radiator w/ Behr and flushed the pertinent fluids around 40k. I’m not finding a record relating to the IC pump, I can only assume the car is running on the original part. I feel the car moves like it should when I kick down at decent speeds (40mph+).
I’m aware this topic has been discussed quite a bit and the original pump is undoubtedly prone to failure. Can someone please provide insight on the obvious signs of pump failure? I plan to check the fuse in the trunk tomorrow, if the fuse is blown is it likely the pump is faulty? What would you guys recommend I inspect next?
Cheers,
-Rob
