just got it done...

$20 + 10 tip...not bad

Had a piece of pipe welded in place of the resonator...there is a bit more bass to the exhaust....its definetly louder...not as subtle as I thought, but the more I drive it, i really like it.

The increase in sound is similar to what you would expect from a "quiet" aftermarket catback.

Power increase? im not gonna kid myself but there may be a hp or two...at least an decrease in weight from the heavy resonator.

+ cheapo mod.

roozy...

hey your car seems to be smoking a bit on revving, from the 2nd video. is this due to the removal of the resonator??? or was this happening before?

Supersprint USA told me a few months ago that they will have an exhaust for the c32 ready for summer. i was kinda waiting for for them but may do this mod instead. I like the clean look of their single large oval tip.

as an aside, a few months ago i installed a JIC exhaust on my 3000gt along with a stillen downpipe (wide open) and the sound is amazing. i have a new neighbour who has an M3 with an eisenmann exhaust and he's blown away by the sound of my 3k....can't wait to fix the c32 but absolutely don't want resonance- i had to dump a borla system in the past for this reason.

that smoke is barely noticable it's just because the digital camera was so up close, it probably happend before also because we all get dirty black tips..maybe a LITTLE more without the reson?

anytime you rev like that, seeing a little smoke is not abnormal...if the car is smoking, it has nothign to do with the removal or a resonator...

u'r prob rite

s4iscool...i clean the black stuff off the exhaust tips with fine grit sandpaper.

i'd let my 9 year old rev the car to see if mine does the same but i'm afraid the lil sucker buries the throttle. he's got a lead foot already....:-)

hey remember the rear x drilled post? i told you about some caliper paint? i have a photo at work of my rotor and rear caliper on a disc but can't get it to load onto the page. send me email cramota@genre.com and i'll forward the pic to you. i guess you can figure it out and post it to the link so everyone can see.

just try simple rubbing compound, its strong enough to take the carbon off the tips without maring them at all.

i wanna see that pic...ill be on the lookout for it.
