C55...OEM Fuel Pump or Aftermarket?

Need to order a fuel pump asap and the local MB dealer will have one tomorrow at 2pm. I see there are aftermarket units available for half the price, I am just wondering if it is worth the savings? I will probably just go with OEM and call it a day...thoughts?

I use to be all about the savings and would never buy OEM parts because of the higher cost but most aftermarket parts just don't hold up long term and lately I've started buying only OEM parts. There are exceptions, some aftermarket parts are improved to address a flaw in OEM design but as far as I'm aware there are no problems with OEM fuel pump design.

OEM only! I used to go aftermarket, and aftermarket is crud a majority of the time. You'll save in the short run, but if you go after-market, buy 2 ahead of time

I did go with the oem pump and seal ring and no problems! Just over $300 for both out the door. Also...I did see a video how a guy replaced the inner guts on a oem housing, now thats out of my league!
