C55 P0456 Small Evap Leak

C55 P0456 Small Evap Leak
For the first time in about a year I got a CEL today. P0456. I do smell gas when I fill up the tank completely but usually goes away after driving 20 or so miles. I am thinking tomorrow I will check under the rear seats to see if the tops of the fuel pumps are leaking,I know the W211s had a recall for this.
The only other current issues with the car that might be related.

The only other current issues with the car that might be related.
- my car doesn't seem to idle quite as smooth as before. Can't tell by looking at the tachometer but I can feel it when at a stop.
- Also, when the vehicle creeps forward in Drive during traffic, its a bit lumpy, not completely smooth.
- On a warm start, it always starts, but sometimes it "burbles" to life. It barely cranks at all and then kind of "blub blub blubs" while the tach rises, then falls to a normal idle.

Answers to questions:
1. Mass air sensors on these cars need to be cleaned / replaced. I have been through 2 on my car.
2. Could be related to the Mass and Crankshaft angle sensor
3. Look at crankshaft angle sensor. Typically you need to replace these. They are easy to do.
