Question Recommendations?

Hey what's up guy/gays

Been a while I need recommendations from buyers who have bought LED or HID kits for their cars....back in 2006-2008 I bought a 6000k HID conversion kit from then Carlab. They lasted a very long time. Now the passenger side went bad have no idea if it was the bulb or ballast but I presumed it was the ballast I bought a 6000k kit and started on right side after install tested it I didn't like the output as much as I loved the Carlab kit so left it like that only changed one side. I'd like to know if I have to replace both bulb and ballast or can I just change the bulb? The Carlab drivers side(not available anymore) is still working like day 1..other side working but dislike light output compared to Carlab bulb just doesn't compliment. If all I have to change is just the bulb please give me recommendations....if both bulb and ballast recommendations also. If recommendations yield LED I HAVE NO ISSUE converting either.

The ballast should not change the color range of the bulb. Just make sure you change out the bulbs together than it will look the same.

When mixing parts, you'll want to make sure the output wattage is the same on both ballast so you get equal power intensity. You might have differing ignition and warm up as well between the two, but once settled, should be minimal difference. I'd for sure try to match the left and right bulbs though. LEDs for forward projecting lighting in halogen housing isn't recommended as its point spread lighting won't perform as well as HID 360 spread lighting.

Hmmm I didn’t realize that....definitely going to look at it once home to see difference between ballasts. Do you have a brand that you guys recommend? I’d hate to change the drivers side because of how reliable it’s been but will.

We carry Morimoto and Hylux brand. Morimoto is a very well known and established brand known for quality and performance. Hylux is also a very robust kit with a few extra added safety measures thrown in. Can't go wrong with either. Both our kits use the same high quality Morimoto HID bulbs. Linked below is the pure white 5500K, but we can also offer in white with a slight bluish hue 6500K if interested.

Mine are H7 using Star machine the HID was turned on. Do I need the canbus system? BTW I made a mistake they are 8000k not 6000k as I wrote.

Hit or miss with STAR enabled on if canbus required or not. If you have 8000k, closest we have is 6500k. Will still be bluish hue white, but lower Kelvin will yield higher lumen.
