Smog Test
Hi Guys,
I owned C55 AMG 2005, I have deleted the resonator, and did a valve cutout which I can open and close anytime I want. My questions, will I be able to pass the smog test. Live in California. Thanks much!

The resonator delete should pose no problems, but the cutouts ARE illegal in CA. Are they obvious? As long as the cats are there, the smog tech may miss or ignore them. They won't care that they are illegal (CHP will though), but will fail the car because it bypasses emissions controls (cats).

Should be fine except for what was mentioned about the cutouts, depends on the technician.
I have a highly modded C32, no resonator, aftermarket CATS, headers, tune, pulley, etc. I pass no problem.
