The C32 pump curse
Ok it happend to the Imperial Fighter, good thing I was right by FJ MB
I was getting gas and I heard a noise, it was a low screeching noise, I thought it was the gaspump.
I noticed it was comming from the engine and the car was off.
I poped the hood and it was loud a F%$K
Drove it to the dealer.
Fuel Pump, Water Pump? WTF
Got a slow240 loaner :v

Sounds like the ol smog pump problem. Just pull the connector if it acts up. You will get a CEL, and not be able to pass a smog test till real the prob is fixed. But you can still cruise.

Heavy Brabus forged!
Mr Vader!:
Ok... I sense the heavy power of the Brabus is taking its toll!!!... you must turn AWAY! from the heavy side of the Brabus into the lighter (but horrible customer service) of the forged!...

Vader - did it sound like a cessna plane under your hood?
I had that aux air pump fail in my car twice. The first time they replaced the pump, the 2nd time they replaced the pump, did more diagnostics and determined a relay switch was bad and was keeping the pump open all the time so they replaced that relay switch too.
It was pretty bad and smelled like it was burning up so I just disconnected it. The car drove fine with it disconnected.
Someday I'll post a pic of the piece so that everyone knows what I'm talking about. I'm pretty swamped lately so not sure when I will get to it tho. Hopefully that's what it was and nothing serious.

Mine went at about 6000 miles. There were numerous threads on this topic, you must have them change the control module as well as the air pump or you will have the problem again.
