Um, where's the airbag...

I saw this picture a while ago. The four buttons on the center console are where the steering wheel buttons were moved to.

Sorry, I personally do not consider that an "upgrade", but to all their own.

Nothing
It's a nice steering wheel, but for another car. Definately not for the C32.

Wow. I guess none of you appreciate the many benefits of a small racing wheel, including a significant reduction in lock to lock. How about this one?

It's not cardboard, but a masonite shaping templet that led to the following pre-production strike off for final shaping.

Wow so many takers! LOL

Ill say the car drove 200% better than stock with the small momo wheel. Need a little opposite lock at the track... flick your wrist... no need to move your arms! This is a big help when trying to do Asian drifting in a Germany C32!

Form vs. Function... I have always be with function as I don’t give a hoot what it looks like!

Steve,

I really fail to understand why you waste time with these people. They obviously have no clue.

Wow so many people love that steering wheel huh?

Unfortunately what is good on the track does not always look good. That is a fact of racing I have learned

I for one like it but I think there should be more stuff stripped especially off the steering column to go with the minimalist approach. I also think the carpets should go too replace it with some carbon fiber fabric and with some rubber studs put into the metal underneath. Now that would be . Ok got a little carried way there but I think what you have so far is cool.

The pedal configuration looks really good. Can you explain what you did? It seems like you have reduced the gap between the brake and the gas a lot. Did you actually have to redo some of the pedals or is that just how the picture looks with the new gas pedal?

Lastly how do you go about doing heel-toe work on an automatic? I tried to match revs with downshifting but I am not succesfull. I have pretty large feet (12-1/2) and I usually brake with the bottom of my foot anways so I can reach the gas pedal (uncomfortably) but the car lurches when I am braking downshifting and blipping. Can you please let me know how you are doing it?

thanks.

Prasith

if he's building a track car then those steering wheel will work great, but they look stupid for any other purpose.

What amazes me is that no one even cares that it even could be done or how it was done. Short of a DTM touring car, this is the only street example ever converted, and it took great effort and substantial cost to complete. I have not posted my Sparco Mugello pic yet and don't see a reason to do so with such a warm welcome. Any MOMO or Sparco steering wheel will fit the universal bolt pattern of the hub. As for the Roundel, I couldn't find a civic decal and though the force of the propellers would increase my lap times.. I like to think of my car as a four door M3.

LOL, probably because most of us are not building a track car. I'd be asking how to do it, but I really don't like those wheels for a street car.

but for what you did. everyone's gotta do something they like on their car to set them apart, right?
