my friend's doing the custom job for me. it is not the entire taillight, rather, it is just the white/clear part. i would not want to black out my whole taillgiht since my car is black/black, and i personally don't care for wholly-blacked-out taillights anyway. just the centers

i have silver visions in my 2005 taillights. the bulbs look clear with no amber hue, yet still blink amber. they look great. i bought them online from a store in the UK.

i did it, finally. everything was a custom job; i think i will do a write-up later. very straightforward and inexpensive, just takes time. looks like it should have come from the factory this way - very subtle. you can definitely see it during the day, but most won't notice it. it will just contriute to the subtle-meanness on the car. i'm happy because it matches black very well - a little sportier.

the best part is, you can't even tell that it's smoked at night, and it does not seem to affect your light-visibility much at all! i know this because we did one side first, then compared it to the regular one while on the car all lighted up. at night, it's like there's not much difference with the lights on - that means cops won't know. i highly recommend this on black cars especially, though i think it looks clean on other colors as well.

pics of the final product are coming, i have one during the process but because it's on camera-phone it doesn't show really well...

the instruction is in the thread linked above. you can check'em out there. I used a brand called Model Painter, but I think you can use which ever that's available to you. Tamiya has the same type of paint too. Check out the linked above. I forgot how many coat did I use for the transparent paint, but I only used three-four coats of clear coat. the result is not that glossy and not that bad.

RENNtech springs are installed!

I know I said was gonna use the #1 pads, but went w/ the #2 instead somehow. Wasn't thinking straight this morning even now because of the likely stomach virus. feel weak and drowsy right now...but here are some pics i took after the springs are installed and went to my friends house.
