C32 amg diff problems

Hey team I'm new to the forum, having issues with the diff in my 03 c32 amg, scuffing noise I originally thought was a wheel bearing but the wheel bearings seem to be fine. Trying to find a 2nd hand diff but can't find anything out of another c32 are there any other diffs from other models that can be run in theese same ratio ect that won't throw the abs off ect? Any help or advice much appreciated

try finding a diff from an slk32 or crossfire srt6. I don’t know if the c55 diff will work because even though they’re both a w203 chassis the drivetrain is different. If you can’t find anything your only options are to rebuild it or buy a Quaife LSD which is not cheap at all

The closest I can find local from a w203 chassis are out of a c320 but the ratio is different or one in a 2006 c180 kompressor but has the same ratio.. Being an amg are theese factory LSD or have hydraulic lockers ect? If I was to put the one from a c320 In would there be any complications with the abs or traction control ect? Trying to avoid emptying the bank completely 😂🤣

honestly you would be safer putting in a diff from a c55/clk55. Anything lesser and you risk damaging your driveshaft. Since you’re already down there I recommend changing the flex discs, driveshaft bearing and mount while it’s accessible. I highly advise you to not put in anything that isn’t Amg or performance built. These cars don’t have LSD’s from the factory. It’s a shame your diff is failing. What’s the mileage? Mines at 176k and it hasn’t had an issue for the past 36k miles since I bought it.

I think your best bet is to get it rebuilt. Buying a used one or even a new one is just gonna break the bank. Maybe even look into doing the work yourself. Where are you located?

I’m glad to hear you’re not just going to dump it. These will be worth something eventually.

here are two from eBay at a decent price but I don’t know how shipping and arrival times would work for you. It’s a worth a shot

Mfactory makes nice lsd’s for w203 chassis and can be found for a great price.

otherwise like said above if it is not beyond repair, a rebuild would be efficient and could probably provide some upgraded components.
