nice mod,
what are the weight savings vs. the stock hood? Are you going to have it painted or just leave it as is?

the hood was custom and made to order... it cost me a pretty penny but well worth it in my opinion. I am sorta painting it...dont worry everyone will see when I have it installed on my car.. I am posting up pics here the second its installed. As far as weight savings go, the hood is definately way lighter then the OEM hood, I would say 1/2 the weight if not less. My friend has a black CF hood on his W203 from the same company and he told me that his CF hood is just as sturdy as the OEM hood. :v

Great weight savings for the front. The car should handle better. Maybe you'll be 51/49% when you are through! Can you paint CF to look like stock paint and match the rest of the car if looks are not important? I guess you could make the same hood in FG at 75% less cost and accomplish the same goal?

looks awesome.I have one coming for the spring. (im in Nj and we get real ****ty weather) I left my CF hood on my bmw last winter and had to replace it in the spring from the road conditions.
