Engine Oil Light WENT ON...
Ok, I was driving and all of a sudden my engine oil light went on. I decided to add oil, but I think I added too much now it says I have to much oil. I'm taking the car to the dealership tomorrow to get the oil changed. Anybody run into this issue? How often are you suppose to change the oil??? Sorry for the rookie questions.

Its probably a faulty sensor. It happened to me and was told its a common problem. Mercedes true to form, the sensor that is supposed to tell you that something is wrong not only fails to do its job, but causes a problem by its own failure.

Should be done in only one day. Make sure they drive the car enough, 5 miles or so, to test that the replaced sensor is not another defective unit.

Just got my car back from the dealership. So far so good no oil messages.
Oil changes are expensive. 106.00 bucks!!!!
They don't offer rental cars if it's a out of warranty expensive.

i used to have a 00" C320 and once the dealer has added too much oil at the inspection.. i get those warnings stating that i have too much oil also but only when I drive at the high speed (when the egine gets too hot)...
Just take your cat to the dealer and tell them to remove some oil
