Injector harness cover C55 - need help identifying where this piece goes
Hi allI just did the miserable job of replacing my crank position sensor (details in a seperate post for those interested) and I had to remove the plastic cover off the injector harness to get the job done. When disassembling and removing the cover, a piece fell out and I can't for the life of me figure out where it clips on. I've attached some pics to this post of the piece, I know it comes from the rear of the harness assembly somewhere but how it fits in is really puzzling. Hopefully someone can showe how it fits but I don't think it's critical, it looks like a seperator of some sort.
Hi @Plutoe Thanks! this looks like an awesome resource! I can unfirtunately find the injector harness and I guess it would be harder to find that little piece. I hope that someone who's opened the plastic cover knows where it goes.

Just a suggestion for any future repairs you might make is to take digital photos (cell phone) of areas you're going to work in before you remove any parts. In this regard, you'll have a visual photographic record just in case your memory is uncertain. Been there........done that, too.....lol

Great advice! Also learned this the hard way and for this job, I did take pictures. The problem is, this part sits concealed underneath the cover so it just fell out when I removed the cover, wasn't aware it was there at all.
