I have recently joined the forum as I now own a Mercedes C32 amg and what a car!

My question is;
Can you put rubber cup/bushing at the bottom of where the rear suspension springs sit?

The reason I asked is I currently run that set up as I bought it like that. The rubber cups are present at the top of the springs as it should be. However, are the rubber cups being at the bottom of the rear springs ok for the suspension? Should I take the bottom cup off? Will it make much difference on handling and comfort?

I have tried going into various forums but didn’t specially highlight my query.

The bottom of the spring sits inside the rear spring control arm with no shim. If you take off the plastic covering you will see the impression of the bottom of the spring is built into the spring arm. The flat mating surface of a spring shim will not sit properly within the control arm. I would question why a previous owner of your car put them in that way in the first place.
