Has anyone figured out a paddle shifter hack
I've got a C55 and would like to upgrade the shifter buttons to paddles.
I've noticed the SLK55 of the same era has the same steering wheel but has paddles.
Can I just buy the stock SLK55 paddles and retrofit them? Any other cheap hacks?

There are a lot of W203 hacks. Not sure how many are cheap anymore and some of the parts have been discontinued.

I originally bought the 63 paddles with the intention of doing that very mod. I just couldn't bring myself to irreversibly cut up my wheel since the button surrounds are not available separately.
I went with G-paddles (refer to the bottom of the referenced thread) and have actually been quite happy with them.
Cost is about the same, but little chance of messing up your wheel, its about a 5 minute swap, and its reversible. The only issue I have is that the whole assembly occasionally pops out of the wheel (usually when I get in or out of the car). The clips weren't designed for anything that could catch and pull. Just pop it back in. No big deal.
