OK, coming from an M3 driver I'll give you my opinion. M3 is not a good daily driver, even if its SMG. C55 is much better at that task. M3 has loads of drivetrain shunt & is irritating in traffic. Its also very stiff & low. Engine also pings very low down (around 1000rpm). I would take a C55 as a daily driver, or you could swap the roles of the E55 & M3. I wouldn't see the point of having a C55 & E55.

If you already have the E55, why would you want the C55? Personally I would be much happier w/ the M3 and the E55 in the garage instead of the C55 and the E55 in the garage.

What another reason is the E55 is still a heavy burden comparing with the M3/C55; so Vic likes to drive the M3.

Test drove the M3 once. It was pretty stiff and jerky no doubt. Hard to imagine using that as a daily commuter or for a long drive.

Hey guys thanks for the input and the side banter too!!!
I really do use my SMG m3 as the daily driver, I dont mind the harshness and enjoy tossing it around when I am on the California car riddled freeways at rush hour. I use my E55 less to keep the miles down because I generally dont tend to keep my cars that long and a low mile E55 goes a long way compared to a low mile M3. Truly I am just bored of the M3 and wanted to see how the C55 would be replacing it in regards to speed, comfort, and daily driving.
I can totally see the views on "why have a C55 and and E55" since they are just sister cars in a way. But then I am a freak who had an M3 and the M5 for a year too. Then main reason I am considering this is because of the deal I can get on the C55.
Again thanks for the input. Here are a few pics of my E55....

Great man.
Great photos, beautiful color. Thanks
I understand your reason now. Because C55's stiff AMG suspension, it is not 'more comfortable' than the M3 if it is ride on the bumpy lousy roads in Hong Kong. ( You can't imagine how many holes on the roads made by the heavy truck and buses). However, if your roads are good, the C55 is good comfort considering its stiff AMG suspension. C55 sound is more 'quite' than the M3. The exhaust is warm. The sound proof is great. Interior - that very much depends on individual taste. Go test drive it. It is not the same car as the M3. If money is not an issue, get the CLK55 , dump the M3.

btw, do you see 1980's MB S-class running around all the time? YES. Do you see 1980's BMW 7-series running around all the time? NO. I rest my case.
