I'm 31. I had a Bronco II when i was 16 the first & only car my parents ever bought me. A few years later, i traded it in for an M3, traded that in for another M3. Almost bought a C43, but kept my M3, until i got my C32 & then i finally got my C55!!!! What i really want now is a CL55, its addictive i tell you!!!!

I'm only 62. I bought my C32 from a 86 year old Dr. who ordered it when he was 80. The car is our 7th Mercedes and 3rd AMG.

Not sure why you brought up a 6 year old thread, were you searching for something?

Also, I don't see the point in people posting their ages on this forum, and what they were able to purchase (or have given to them). Some people are more fortunate than others at many different ages. And yes, I said fortunate, regardless if it wasn't given to you and you had to work hard for it.

23...just bought it. Mommy and daddy bought my first car when I was 16, but it's been on me since then. I sold my Harley-Davidson F150 to buy this car and then financed the rest.

2005 Pontiac GTO 6.0 LS2 - Blue
Bought my first Mercedes, and first car when I was 18 after saving hard earned manual labor pay... Fortunate enough to have not been paying rent, or any bills thanks to my mom, so I could save up. It was a 2002 C230 Sportcoupe purchased with 91k miles for 7.2k no payments. Had it for little over three years when someone totaled her rear ended dead stop. The guy was going 50MPH... Had her up to 130k miles. Payout for the Sportcoupe was 12.5k not including pain and suffering after several months of physical therapy. Found the C32 AMG with 83k miles for 12.3k and went for it...

By the way, as far as I know there are only four C32's in my general area. Mine, a friend who also in the 24-30 age range, benz dealer manager, and some lady. The latter two are in their late 30's early 40's.

given the depreciation on these cars, i dont think its whether you can afford to buy them. Its whether you can afford the maintence.

I think some people like to share about how they got there car and it really should not matter how they got it, what should matter is that we all share the same joy and drive the same thing regardless of age or money. We are all just enthusiasts and that's what matters, if we choose to share some personal info and other find it interesting, I see no problem with it. That's why this thread has quite a few posts.

I'm 26, but I financed the car when I was 24. I find this forum and the people that I share it with very informative and helpful. Had it not been for this forum, I would have sold the car long ago. I don't care who you are or what you do, as long as we get along. It's nice to see quite a diverse group of people that have a shared interest. Sorry about getting so sappy, lol.

Yes, it's nice buying a sixty thousand dollar Mercedes with mid range mileage for around ten thousand. That is until you have to buy a $650 dollar power steering pump when most other vehicles pump would cost a hundred...

yeah one of my buddies whose currently in college wanted a german car. I talked him out it because i knew there's no way he could afford the maintence on a german car on a college students budget.

What i spent on maintence for my c32, i probably could've been driving around in a 800whp evo.
