HELP! My steering wheel and driver seat are bust!

Hey guys, Need to pick your minds real quick. Turned my car on like usual and the steering wheel and seat failed to adjust. I then tried to move them manually through the buttons and they don't work. Was working earlier today when I took it out. Have tried turning it off and everything. Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

had a similar issue

but mine was blowing the fuses as well (went through 3 fuses to get the seat to a driveable position). Apparently they replaced the entire motor mechanism (shorting??) and it seems to be working ok for the past 10 months.

I had a similar problem: mine was working fine, then all of a sudden the seat would not move automatically, but the steering wheel would. Manually, the seat moved fine, but not when I turned the car off/on. I took it to the dealer for Service A and they replaced the whole seat module, but it still didn't work. My SA said to bring it back in because those modules are flaky, but I never brought it back. I recently had a fender-bender and needed the hood and left headlight replaced, and wouldn't you know it.......when I get the car back, the seat works perfectly now!! Go figure........

I had the exact thing happen to me twice. The dealer says that it's a loose ground wire attached to the control panel which moves the steering wheel and seats. It's a common problem among the C class cars. They will have to either replace the module or attach the ground wire more securely. Doesn't happen to me anymore.
