slight flapping sound, normal?
I have a 02 C32 and I've always notice this flapping noise when I'm driving. I notice it especially when I'm off the gas and the car is just cruising at a pretty low speed, like 25-35 mph. The flapping sound kind of goes with the speed of the car, faster when the car is moving faster and slower and more apparent when the car is rolling to a stop. Its not very loud, but if you listen, you can hear it. Almost sounds like its coming from the right front wheel, but can't really tell.
Bought this car used off of someone so I'm not sure if this is normal. Wanna see if it is before I take it to the dealer about it...I hate having to leave the car there, gets to be a hassle.

Ok. That seems like the likely problem. I read in a thread that it could be the head shield or insulation material that touches the driveshaft when the car it gets hot.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have the same issue with mine. It is definitely vehicle speed related (not engine). It does seem to happen mostly when the car is hot. The best description I can give of the sound is roughly the same sound as when we used to put playing cards in the spokes of our bikes to make flapping (engine) noises. It seems to come roughly from the right front of the car. I was thinking that is was a failing wheel bearing? Let me know if you figure it out!

After reading this thread

I'm guessing it might really be the head shield that is touching the driveshaft.
You will see some responses on it if you scroll down. I'm having the car checked out this Friday, I'm hoping the problem is as simple as that.
